Fire generator on transistor 2sc2078

On one bipolar transistor you can assemble a high-frequency generator with an interesting visual effect - a flame on the tip of the antenna-wire. The flame is hot, not dangerous when touched (quick touch)

The generator is assembled on a 2sc2078 transistor, installed on a radiator. Power supply 27V, it is possible and more and there will be a larger torch, but the transistor will heat up even more. There will be no torch from 12V

The basis for successful generation is a high-frequency transformer. The transformer is wound on a frame with a diameter of 20 mm. First, the L2 coil is wound with a wire of 0.5 mm cross-section and a winding length of 27 mm (40 TURNS). One end of the coil serves as an antenna, its length is about 7-10 cm, and it remains free. By selecting the length of the antenna, stable ignition of the burner and its maximum length are achieved. The L3 coil has 50 turns of wire with a cross-section of 0.7 mm and is wound on the first turn of L3, directly around the wire. If the generator does not start, the L2 terminals should be swapped. The L1 coil contains 10 turns of wire with a cross-section of 0.8 mm, wound on a mandrel with a diameter of 12 mm

You can conduct various experiments. You can attach a star to the tip of the antenna, all its sharp edges will begin to emit a high-frequency arc. From this arc you can set fire to paper, wood, plastic, etc. When turned on, the torch should ignite stably by itself.
The torch at the tip of the antenna is 6-7 mm long and pink-white in color. To make the flame bright red-orange, take a thin piece of glass from a flashlight bulb and melt it on the torch, dipping the melted glass onto the tip of the antenna
