I had three ligtning cables lying around, and I decided to disassemble them. The cable connectors contain electronic components that I could keep. I'll also show you what the fake and original cables look like.
When disassembling, the original cable is immediately visible. Its circuit board is shielded by a metal casing.
Counterfeit cables contain a single MOSFET transistor and a six-pin microcircuit, the casing of which may be labeled AD70 or AD666. I don't know what this microcircuit is. I'll take these components from this board.
